Welcome

Where we stand, there is a story.

SCROLL DOWN

Welcome

Where we stand, there is a story.

Project Bookmark Canada is a nationally registered charitable organization that is building Canada's literary trail by putting pieces of stories and poems in the exact, physical locations where literary scenes are set. We incorporated in 2007, and in 2009 unveiled our first Bookmark: a passage from Michael Ondaatje’s In the Skin of a Lion at the Bloor Street Viaduct in Toronto.

Our Donors & funders

Canada’s literary trail is made possible by people and organizations who are passionate about Canada: our spaces and stories, our literature and literacy, and the health of our Canadian communities. Inspired? You can join us.

Build a Bookmark, or Blaze the Trail with a gift to Project Bookmark Canada.  Your gifts are creating a legacy for all Canadians — thank you.

These donors helped us to blaze more kilometres, to connect our storied places, to discover and tell new stories, and to map the course for our Canadian literary trail:
