All good things must come to an end. Sadly, this includes summer and our Bookmark Summer Reads campaign. But, that end is not here quite yet. We still have a few more weeks of summer, which means we still have a few more weeks to get our CanLit on and make suggestions for potential Bookmarks.
Our final Bookmark Summer Reads theme is all about the end of summer and new beginnings: Back To School. Even for those of us who haven't gone back to school in many years, there is something about the end of summer that turns our thoughts to backpacks, books, and the mix of dread and excitement about the start of a new school year. Project Bookmark Canada wants your help to find the literary scenes from works of fiction and poetry that capture that back to school sentiment. Maybe some of the story or poem is set at an actual elementary or high school, a university campus or boarding school. Or maybe much of the book is centered around a character or narrator's school experience. If it's CanLit with an academic twist, we want to hear about it!
Everything you need to know about Bookmark Summer Reads can be found here. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and use the hashtag #BookmarkSummerReads. Every suggestion made is a chance to win one of our weekly prizes.
Thank you for your participation in Bookmark Summer Reads! We are so grateful to have your enthusiasm as we continue to build Canada's literary trail!
