Summer is in high gear, and here at Project Bookmark Canada we’ve been working our way through our pile of CanLit reads. We hope that in between trips to the lake, BBQs and base-ball games that you’ve had time to get in some summer reading too.
On that note, we’re so excited to announce the second theme in our Bookmark Summer Reads Campaign: Parks CanLit. From camping in one of Canada’s beautiful National and Provincial Parks to picnicking at the park down the street, we all have summer memories of time spent in green spaces. Bookmark wants to find the parks where literary scenes are set! Whether a scene takes place in the sprawling wilderness of Cape Breton Highlands National Park, or a tiny sliver of green in an urban metropolis, if it has Bookmark potential, we want to hear about it. Everything you need to know about Bookmark Summer Reads can be found here. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram, and use the hashtag #BookmarkSummerReads. Every suggestion made is a chance to win one of our weekly prizes.
Since all this sunny weather is putting us in a good mood, we want to give you even more chances to win fun prizes! For the rest of the summer, we’re asking our supporters to pull out their cameras and smartphones and share pictures of their favourite summer reading spots on Twitter and Instagram using the #BookmarkSummerReads hashtag. For every picture shared, you get one chance to win a weekly prize!
Thank you for reading along with us this summer, and for helping us continue to build Canada's literary trail.
