Project Bookmark Canada is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Koffler Centre of the Arts; an audio tour that expands on the Bookmark for Anne Michael's novel, Fugitive Pieces, in Toronto's Little Italy.

The Slow Now is a downloadable audio tour, produced by Angela Shackel of Lipstick Studios, that guides the listener on a narrative journey through Little Italy, beginning at the Bookmark on the corner of College and Manning. The Slow Now is an immersive experience that explores the rich history of the neighbourhood and of Michaels' novel. Anne Michaels herself, and other local figures, voice the original narration written by Michael Mann.

The guided tour, which lasts approximately 40 minutes, is available for download through Koffler.Digital. On November 8th, we hope you will join us for the launch of the project and a free public audio walk through Little Italy. We will gather at the Fugitive Pieces Bookmark on the corner of College and Manning Streets at 2:00pm. The artists and producers of The Slow Now will be on hand to reveal the easter eggs hidden in the experience, many of which will be unique to this inaugural tour.

Project Bookmark Canada would like to thank the Koffler Centre for a rewarding collaborative experience and the Ontario Trillium Foundation for helping to make this project possible.
