On October 24th, we unveiled Bookmark 13: The Republic of Love by Carol Shields. You can find it in Winnipeg's Osborne Village, at the corner of River Avenue and Osborne Street, near the bus stop.

It was a crisp Winnipeg morning, but there was a lot of warmth for Carol Shields, the book, the neighbourhood and for Bookmark, for making Winnipeg the latest location in our cross-Canada network of sites and stories. Said Bookmark supporter and Winnipeg City Councillor Jenny Gerbasi, "All roads must go through Winnipeg -- including the literary ones."

Take a look at these pics from the ceremony and celebration (thanks Leif Norman for this photo record of a wonderful day) -- maybe they'll make you think of just the right passage and just the right place for our next Bookmark.
